The Festival of the Mind event sees the brightest minds from the University of Sheffield collaborate with the city’s cultural and creative industries, to help bring their research to life in exciting, entertaining and innovative ways, through a programme of free exhibitions, films, performances, workshops and talks. Open to everyone.
I’m beyond excited to share that I was invited to showcase several of my artworks at the Festival of the Mind! Among the pieces displayed are portraits of notable figures such as WWII veterans Lilian Badar and Connie Mark, as well as activist Angela Davis, all in support of Dr. Sarah Frank’s research on Ginette Éboué. This research was beautifully brought to life through a play, scripted and crafted by Susan Hunter Downer, depicting Éboué’s powerful experiences during WWII. I’m also honoured that one of my artworks, Let’s Go, was featured in the festival’s promotional brochure. It’s truly a privilege to have my work be part of such a meaningful and creative collaboration!
