This theme was created during the global Covid 19 lockdown period, which started in March 2020. I chose to paint pieces that reflected what was happening globally. It was a challenging period.
This theme is inspired by our brave, heroic and unpublished veterans. whom faced challenges on the stages of war and simultaneously on the home front. It started before, during & after volunteering, and amidst the hell fury of war itself. Seldom recognised for their skills, bravery or achievements. All this despite the change of promotion to the rank of Officer was rarely offered to our Black soldiers.
